50:1 L/D RECIRCULATOR COMPOUNDER

Exciting tests were recently documented in apaper, "Compounding in Randcastle's Single Screw Extruder."  The results are dramatic.   Compounding of a TPO compared the new BT mixing element to a conventional UC mixer.  The 'gold standard' UC mixer wasn't even in the same class as the BT mixer.  Another test showed that wood flour could actually be compounded in the 25 to 40% range on a single screw extruder!  Both successful tests are normally compounded on twin screw extruders.
